Need Help with Apache error!!?

hi, i was doing this:

For example, if you want to put all your PHP or HTML files in C:\www just find this line in the httpd.conf :

DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/htdocs"

and change it to :

DocumentRoot "C:/www"

After making changes to the configuration file you have to restart Apache ( Start %26gt; Programs %26gt; Apache HTTP Server 2.0.50 %26gt; Control Apache Server %26gt; Restart ) to see the effect

I did it all and i tried to restart but it wouldn't, it read:

Syntax error on line 149 of c:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf:

DoucementRoot must be a directory

note the errors or messages above, and pres the %26lt;ESC%26gt; key to exit.....12 sec (and counting)

I then opened apache and clicked restart but it said the request operation has failed.

anyone know what im doing wrong or what the problem is.

thanks in advance

Need Help with Apache error!!?

http://studentatm.easycoder.biz/test/web...

the mysql shoud be instaled first if you compile the php (linux) . if you are using the php installer you can install as in the instructions
Reply:apache says it's not a dir... but it probably means it's not a dir for apache!

it's a security thing... change the owner of that directory over to whatever it was for "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/htdocs"
